In Davidson Town Council’s Strategic Plan, one of the values identified was transparency in municipal decision making, finances, and communication. Council’s Corner will focus on these strategic priorities as it relates to the Strategic Action Plan:
Engagement, Communications and Team Work
Discussions with SHA and local RM’s to discuss physician recruitment and retention continue.
Council continues to meet with the Ministry of Highways to discuss options for Enterprise Lane.
In partnership with the Library, United Church, and Prairie Central District, the Town supported the “Painting Pride” event by providing a monetary donation to cover snacks and beverages.
Infrastructure
To support the renewal of the Town’s sewer mains, the Town has hired New Line Trenchless Technologies to reline approximately 500 meters of sewer main in 2025.
Spring street sweeping is now complete. We appreciate everyone who moved their vehicles to help facilitate the process.
The Town is in the process of hiring for two full-time Public Works positions. We appreciate your patience as we work through the recruitment and training phases.
Fire hydrants flagged as concerns are scheduled for inspection, with necessary repairs or replacements to be completed as soon as possible.
The King Edward/Third Street drainage project has been extended to Second Street to eventually complete the paved loop connecting Third Street and Second Street.
The Town has partnered with Panther Industries to install four streetlights along Internal Road.
Economic Development
Thank you to everyone who completed the Quality of Life survey. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and will play a key role in shaping our strategic plan and guiding future economic development initiatives.
To help respond to housing inquiries, we are compiling a list of properties available for sale or rent. If you have a property in the Town that is for sale or rent, please contact the Town Office.
Recreation and Cultural Programs

The fireworks – brought to you by Western Sales and Vaderstad, parade, slo-pitch tournament, Saturday night cabaret, beer gardens, food trucks, indoor market, kid’s activities, fun run, yoga in the park and pancake breakfast will all be back this year.
