Public notice is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Davidson intends to adopt a bylaw under The Planning and Development Act, 2007 to amend Bylaw No. 748 known as the Zoning Bylaw.
INTENT
The proposed bylaw will rezone the land described below from R1 Residential Single-Family District to CS Community Service District and will add in a development regulation section for places of worship.
AFFECTED LAND
The affected land is legally described as Lot 11, Block A, Plan BF2102 shown in bold dashed lines on a plan of proposed subdivision dated May 15, 2026 and signed by Daniel L. Codling, S.L.S. as shown on the following map.
REASON
The reason for the amendment is to provide for the subdivision of this lot so that the church (proposed Lot 21) and house (proposed Lot 11) are on separate lots, and to set out development regulations for places of worship.
PUBLIC INSPECTION
Any person may inspect the bylaw at the municipal office at 206 Washington Avenue, Davidson, between 8:30 a.m. – 12 noon; and 1 – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays. Copies are available at cost.
PUBLIC HEARING
Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 206 Washington Avenue, Davidson to hear any person or group that wants to comment on the proposed bylaw. Council will also consider written comments received at the hearing or delivered to the undersigned at the municipal office before the hearing.
