Celebrate Davidson Library’s 50th Anniversary with Palliser
August 26, 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
On Saturday August 26th, we invite you to join us in the garden for cookies and cupcakes, to help us celebrate our golden anniversary as a branch of the Palliser Regional Library.
We will have lots of fun stuff to enjoy, crafts for kids, button making, a (temporary) tattoo booth for everyone to get in on, library and legion tours for those interested, a scavenger hunt and prizes to be won!
As an individual community library we strive to provide you with books, internet access, programming for all ages and a safe place to share ideas and information or just sit and relax.
We are so grateful to be a part of Palliser, who help make so much of that possible every day.

The Davidson Library was originally started by the Homemakers club of Davidson in 1914, taking up space in a small room at the town hall.
In 1971 our town hall was lost in a fire, all the books were either burned or damaged beyond repair.
Gladys Laird arranged to borrow 1500 books from the provincial library, and with a combination of donated and used books this was enough to restart the library.
In August of 1973 Davidson became a branch of the Palliser Regional Library and this summer we are celebrating 50 years with Palliser!
