Garbage & Recycle Disposal Schedule

Garbage

Garbage collection for properties north of Washington Avenue, including the north side of Washington Avenue, will be every other week.

Garbage collection for properties south of Washington Avenue, including the south side of Washington Avenue, will be every other week.

Recycle

The Town of Davidson has a residential curb side recycling program through Loraas Disposal. Residential carts are emptied every other Monday. The fee for this program is billed quarterly on the residents’ utility bill, along with water and sewer. The quarterly fee for the residential cart is $ 28.08

What am I able to put into my recycle cart?

NOTE: Plastic bags/wrapping/film is NOT allowed in the recycle carts/bins.

NOTE: Glass is NOT allowed in the recycle cart/bins. Please take all glass to SARCAN in Davidson to be recycled.

NEW! SK Recycles has officially launched its household packaging and paper recycling program across the province!

For the first time in the province’s history, flexible plastics and foam packaging will be accepted province-wide at SARCAN depots. Non-deposit glass bottles and jars will now be accepted province-wide too. Most of these items are not accepted in household recycling bins.

Here’s what you can now bring:

Flexible Plastics: Plastic bags, zipper-lock pouches, crinkly wrappers and more.

Foam Packaging: Takeout containers, foam trays and protective foam for appliances.

Glass Bottles & Jars: oil bottles, pickle jars and jam jars.

We’re proud to partner with SARCAN Recycling and work alongside communities across Saskatchewan to create a sustainable, province-wide program.

Town of Davidson Landfill

THE LANDFILL IS REOPENING WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9TH AT 11 a.m.!

LANDFILL HOURS: Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Please Remember To Place Metal, Clean Wood, Concrete & Asphalt In The Designated Locations.

No recyclable materials are to be disposed of in the Town of Davidson Landfill!
Please call the Town Office at 306-567-2040 for directions to the landfill.

Landfill Rates

Used Oil Recycling

The RM of Arm River, RM of Willner and the Town of Davidson, jointly operate a seasonal used oil recycling collection program.

Located behind the RM of Arm River Shop on Railway Avenue.

Hours of Operation

Opening April 16, 2025 (weather permitting)

Wednesdays & Thursdays: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (closed 12-1 for lunch)

Fridays: 8 a.m. – 12 noon

Limit of one (1) drum of filters, two (2) barrels of used oil (500 litres), and half (1/2) a barrel of antifreeze per visit.

Monthly Water Rates:

1,000 gallons or less $ 15.00 minimum
Over 1,000 gallons $ 10.00 per 1,000 gallons or part there of

Residential connections: $10 per month.

Infrastructure

The Town of Davidson has implemented a monthly infrastructure fee of $7 per month per residence. This fee is directed into a reserve account for future infrastructure projects. The quarterly infrastructure for a residence is $21.00.
